Weekend Recap

We had a fun-filled Easter weekend here at the Westman home. It started off on Friday with some special early-morning visitors. Ben and his girlfriend Marie came over for a quick coffee/playdate, so fun to see them.

Audrey wasn't awake when they got here and greeted them

with an excited "BOO!" when she woke up :)

Then we were off to the pancake breakfast at Daddy's work,

he made us a delicious breakfast!

We had a fun lunch date with the Nesslers including new baby Miles

Grandma Nancy stopped by to read a few books on that rainy day too

Next, on Saturday, Audrey had her first Easter egg hunt at Grandma Sandy's house. She had fun finding the eggs and really enjoyed her treats! We had lots of great food and a very competitive and entertaining adult egg hunt too.

Finally, on Sunday, we had Easter at Grandma Nancy and Joe's. The food was delicious! The Easter egg hunt was fun but Audrey's favorite activity for the day was jumping on the trampoline.

It was so fun to be able to spend some time outside and enjoy a weekend with family :)

Yummy Easter Idea

Those of you that know me well know that I am not a great cook. I mean I can boil water, bake chicken and the other essentials but nothing fancy! I was inspired by the memory of my mom's 4th of July Flag Fruit Pizza. So, I'm pretty proud of myself for making this Easter Egg Fruit Pizza :) It was super simple but it looks cute.

Fun. Easy. Delicious!

Here's my recipe:

Rollout pre-made (store bought) sugar cookie dough and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes

Let cool then cut out desired shape

Mix 1 8oz pkg cream cheese w/1/2C sugar and 2tsp vanilla

Spread on cooled sugar cookie

Cut up desired fruit and decorate :)

Wedding Season

We had a great time this weekend celebrating my friend Krista's wedding. It was so much fun for me to be able to spend time with one of my best friends (since middle school!) and see her so happy and in love:) Is there anything better? She was a stunning bride and it was a beautiful wedding and reception despite the snow and cold temperatures! Congratulations Brad and Krista Nelson.

Auntie Annie

Audrey seems to have a new family favorite lately, her Auntie Annie. With six uncles, why wouldn't she just adore Annie? :) She talks about her most everyday and sleeps with a cute little pink bunny that Annie gave her, it has been lovingly named "Hop Annie." Thankfully Annie was home this past weekend and was able to stop for a quick visit and little girl time, Audrey was thrilled!

Minnesota

Audrey has been a little mimic lately. Luke and I find that we have to be more careful about what we say in front of her because she repeats most any word(s). It's lots of fun to hear her little voice saying big words:)

18 month stats

Audrey's 18 month check up went well - she continues to have an "upward trend" in her growth. Besides her iron being a little low, the only real problem that I had at the doctor's office was getting Audrey's clothes back on, she constantly wants to be naked! haha!

Here are her latest growth stats:

Height: 34.5" (99%ile)

Weight: 22lbs 11oz (26%ile)

Head: 18.5" (64%ile)

She is growing and changing so fast! I really can't believe that my baby looks & acts more like a toddler each day. She is so much fun and brings so much joy to our life:)

Official Announcement

We are expecting Baby Westman #2! My due date is October 23rd:)

Audrey experienced a range of emotions when we told her the big news:

So...what does this mean for me?

I'm gonna need a minute to think about it

I don't know if I'm ready for this responsibility!

We have no doubts that Audrey will be a wonderful big sister, can't wait to see her in action:)
