Week 32

We're enjoying each week of pregnancy more and more - Baby Audrey is moving SO much it's crazy. Luke thinks she's doing Taebo or Kickboxing while I'm convinced that she's practicing DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) - either way, it's really fun to watch my belly move! We're starting to be able to tell which body part is moving, at least we have fun guessing whether it's a foot, knee, or elbow:) Can't believe that she'll be here in less than 2 months!

Week 31

I had my 31 week check-up today and everything is continuing to look good. The doctor had a hard time finding Baby Audrey's heartbeat because she was moving around so much! As soon as he would put the monitor on my belly she'd move away...I think she thought he was playing tag with her, haha! He eventually caught her being still for a moment and heartbeat was in the 140's - smack dab in the middle of the normal range. My belly size is also measuring right on track & I go back in another 4 weeks for my next appointment. I signed up for some childbirth classes in August...unfortunately Luke will have to be gone for 3 of the 4 classes, but there's nothing we can do about his schedule - I'm adjusting to my life as a proud Army wife:)

Army Wives

This weekend while my hubby was gone my 2 best Army girlfriends took me out to a ballgame with their husbands. We went and watched the "Savannah Sand Gnats" play and enjoyed a hot dog and some cracker jacks while we were there:) It was a fun evening and we decided that us girls should take a few photos together - hope you enjoy!

4th of July

This is a delayed post, but I wanted to put up a few pictures of the 4th of July. We had a nice & relaxing day out at Westman's cabin on Lake Francis in Elysian. Luke and I were able to spend time with all of our brothers and enjoy both of our mom's home cooked food - yum! The boys enjoyed playing badminton and we all fished off the end of the dock. Butch had an impressive fireworks display to end the evening.

1st LT Westman

Luke was promoted today from 2nd Lieutenant to 1st Lieutenant. His Captain had so many positive things to say about his leadership capabilities and work ethic. So proud of him!

Baby Shower (Week 29)

My wonderful friends, Jaime and Amanda, threw a baby shower for me while I was back in MN. It was so much fun to be surrounded by my friends (quite a few who are also pregnant!). We played some fun games and ate lots of great food - thanks everyone:)

Birthdays

While back in MN I was able to celebrate 3 family birthdays: both of our moms and my brother Ben! For Sandy's birthday we got pedicures, for my mom's we had a pancake breakfast and did a little shopping, and for Ben's we had home made steak & mashed potatoes with ice cream cake dessert. Luke and I have always enjoyed being around our families, but living far away makes the us appreciate the time we spend with them even more.

Jaime's Baby Shower (Week 28)

It's so exciting being pregnant and having some of my best friends pregnant at the same time makes it even more fun! While I was back in MN, my friend Amanda and I were able to surprise our friend Jaime with a baby shower at Applebee's.

Visit to Wisconsin (Week 27)

First stop on my trip back home was a visit to Wisconsin. My Aunt Carolyn and I left early in the morning to go spend the day with my cousin Stephanie and her two adorable little girls. We had so much fun playing, eating, and talking. Here are a few pictures from the day:

I also got to meet up with my college roomie & one of my best friends, Lisa, and her husband, Shawn. It was so fun to see each other and talk - the three of us had fun remembering our crazy college days in Eau Claire - hopefully next visit we'll have more time!
