Playdates

Audrey has lots of friends her age around town, so we've been having lots of fun "playing" (mostly laying on the floor near each other) with them. It's also fun for us moms to get together and try to have a conversation between entertaining the kids, nursing, and changing diapers:) We've got pictures with almost all of her little friends except Lydia and Sutton & Macalan...so we'll have to post some with them next time!

No subject

Being a stay-at-home mom is a blessing. I love spending my time with Audrey and watching her learn, grow & change everyday. I'm often times asked what I do all day...and to be honest, I don't really know what keeps me so busy! :) Audrey and I spend lots of time playing maybe running a few errands and I try to pick up after us a little bit while she sleeps. We've also been gathering lots of things to mail to Luke on a regular basis. We have lots of play dates with little baby friends too (more on those in later post). I'm also trying to capture every moment on video or camera to show Luke what Audrey's doing. So, I don't really know exactly what I do all day, but I stay busy and have lots of fun with Audrey - I wouldn't change it for the world!

Luke is getting settled into his base in Iraq and missing us a lot. He says the base is small but has everything he needs. He found a little local shop where he was able to buy a set of 40 Western movies for about $15! That made him happy:) We're able to communicate by email almost daily and sometimes we're able to talk on "Facebook Chat" too - SO thankful for technology!

Audrey and I are missing Luke a lot too but really happy to be in MN (despite the weather!) Here's a few pictures that I thought you'd enjoy:

Chewing on EVERYTHING in sight
Still loves her bath time
Making lots of funny faces
Notice the fingers in her mouth - sucking on EVERYTHING :)
Giving Grandma a big sloppy kiss
Excited to go to church in her new dress

4 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that Audrey is already 4 months old today! She is really into rolling/flipping over from her back to her tummy and absolutely loves her hands and feet right now. She talks and sings to me quite a bit and give lots of smiles to people (except to men that she doesn't know very well - they get the pouty lip).

Below are some of my favorite pictures from the last month or so...

Life back in MN

Things are going pretty well for Audrey and I back here in MN - besides the frigid cold, we like being back home. I love having Audrey's grandparents, uncles, and great-grandparents nearby! We've also had some pretty fun play-dates with my girlfriends and their little ones too.
We miss Luke terribly but have been able to email and facebook chat almost everyday. Luke calls when he can and we've been able to Skype a few times too! It's so nice that he and Audrey can see and hear each other on the computer but it's also a little bittersweet to know what Luke's missing:( We are definitely thankful for technology when we're so far apart.

I've been bad about taking pictures lately and I can't get any videos to upload onto our blog, hopefully it'll start working soon...

Go Vikings!

Audrey and I are able to enjoy many things about living in MN again...but one of my favorites is being able to watch the Vikings play again! Especially when they win:)
