Loving Daddy

It is hard on all military families to be apart. There are days when I feel sad, lonely, mad, frustrated, etc. However, thanks to technology (Skype) we get to feel like we're together at times. It is such an incredible blessing to be able to see each other and hear each other at the same time! One of the most amazing things is that even though Luke and Audrey have only spent about 10 weeks of her life physically together - she knows him and loves him so much. She gets extremely excited to see him on the computer...has actually started to try to get into the computer or figure out a way to get him out...but she also loves to give pictures of her daddy hugs and kisses :) I made a poster of pictures of the 2 of them together and it's hanging below the kitchen counter. I'll say to Audrey, "Let's go give Daddy kisses." or I'll ask, "Where's Daddy?" and she'll stop whatever she's doing and speed crawl over to the poster to give him hugs and kisses - too cute!

10 Months Old

I know that people always tell you that time goes too fast and your baby will grow up before you believe it...but I do believe it, so can time please slow down? She's growing up too fast for me!
On Saturday she was officially 10 months old.
Her latest favorite things and tricks include:
walking (2-8 steps at a time)
crawling as fast as lightening!
signing the words: more, fish, and dog
fake laughing when she hears laughter
clapping when people cheer for her
smacking her lips and clicking her tongue
playing with baby dolls
dancing & singing to music
chewing on her toes again
reading books

Random Pictures

There isn't really a theme or much of a connection between any of these photos...but I hope you enjoy looking :)

Helping me fold (she unfolds) the laundry

Babies loving each other's accessories :)
Audrey my cousin's (Mike) baby Savannah

Constantly stealing my glasses :)
She doesn't usually wear them, she prefers to chew on them & scratch them with her little teeth.

Would love to play with the fake fireplace all day
(Nice parenting, huh?)

Little Reader

Audrey loves to "read" books on her own. I thought some of you blog followers might get a kick out of this :)

New Things

Audrey seems to have a new trick almost everyday lately - she keeps me entertained to say the least! She is making lots of different noises with her mouth...I'm pretty sure she gets that trait from her Uncle Tyler :) Unfortunately I can't seem to catch those noises on video, but here are a few new things that I was able to capture on the camera.

Likes to walk between my legs with her little arms wrapped around my thighs...we walk around together like this :)

Enjoys playing by herself more often now

I thought we'd try pigtails.
HAHA...we'll wait for a little more hair!

Kinda new cheesy smile.
This is all 5 of us "Dobson kids" on Ben's 20th birthday!

A day in the life...

Audrey wakes up in the morning and since she's not too interested in current events, she prefers to read her books - "Yummy Yucky" and "Baby Faces" are her favorites.
Later the day may include a trip to the pool where she can show off her new shades.
Or maybe we'll go for a little stroll
apparently she's got a green thumb...not sure where that comes from
Do a little dancing or just hang out with friends
Finally, get cleaned up before bed :)

Happy 4th!

We hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend enjoying our freedom here in the USA! Thanks to all our service men and women...especially my hubby!

Also, a special thanks to my Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Gordy for the location of the following patriotic photo shoot :)
