Christmas 2011

We had lots of fun celebrating Christmas with our girls. Audrey absolutely loved opening presents and being "crazy" with the paper, ribbons, and bows. I think we could've just gotten her a garbage bag full of wrapping paper and she would've been thrilled (I'll make a note of this for Cece's 2-yr-old Christmas list). I need to do a better job taking more pictures to remember each day...maybe when my hands aren't so busy holding my baby then I'll have more time for my nice camera?
Here are a few of my favorites:)

Why are matching jammies so incredibly cute?

Cece spoils us with lots and lots of smiles; happy girl :)

Here she is being "crazy" with all the wrapping paper

The one family picture we took...with Audrey's finger almost up her nose, nice :)

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all our blog followers. We are so thankful that Jesus was born to pay the price for our sins. God Bless you and yours.

Our Champion

The girls and I are so proud to have a champion living in our home...Daddy! aka Luke, has recently won two big events in the life of a 30-something-year-old :) Exciting times around here:

Luke and Bill recently conquered the Blazin' Challenge at BW3
(Audrey is concerned about his headband, "Daddy have a bandaid on he forehead. He have a bad owie.")

Luke and his high school teammates won the Loyola Alumni basketball tourney.
(Audrey and Cece were great little fans at a few of the games and Audrey could be heard cheering loudly, "Go Daddy Go!")

Two Months Old

Its really hard to believe that our little Cece is already 2 months old! Seriously...wasn't it just October? Anyways, we just love her to pieces and cannot get enough of her sweet little smiles and baby talk. She is a happy little baby most of the time and is really starting to notice her surroundings. She likes her baby play gym, especially the mirror and the little bear w/the nose that lights up, and she still loves her swing. She adores her daddy and loves it when he sings to her as she sings back to him...future duet team? I think so:) She does just find with her tummy time and has yet to roll "flip" over again since she was 2 weeks old, pretty funny to me. I am finding myself clinging to each newborn baby moment knowing that she will soon be on to the next milestone.

Hi Mom...what is that big black thing you keep pointing at me? I really like seeing your face much better.

oh? you want me to smile at that thing...hmmm, ok I guess.

Cheese!
(seriously, she saw the camera and smiled, haha!)

DIY t-shirt dress

So, I recently got a sewing machine and have been pinning away ideas on Pinterest. I really wanted to do some upcyling (use our old clothes to make new ones) and I found a tutorial that looked like it was for beginners. I found a clearance t-shirt at Target and used one of Luke's old ARMY shirts for the ruffles. Things started off a little rough when I jammed the machine...but after a few hours I came away with something that Audrey can actually wear. It is far from perfect, the seam is very crooked and all I had was pink thread and no way to get to the store, so I just went with it and am kind of proud of my crooked-seamed, uneven ruffles, mismatched little dress for my big girl:)

She wasn't really in the mood for pictures, but she did love wearing the dress :)

Baptism Day

After a what felt like a looooong search, we have found a church that we love here at home. So, today we officially became members and were able to baptize both girls together too. The girls both did great, no crying or screaming; a proud parent moment :)

Happy family

The girls were happy to talk about their baptism together
