During the sonogram, the baby was moving around and had his/her legs up by the head most of the time:) The ultrasound lady was very thorough and we are going back for another ultrasound in 4 weeks because Baby W wouldn't cooperate for a picture of his/her spine. So, we'll get to see our baby at the next appointment too. Luke is absolutely dying to know the sex...but I still want to wait. The ultrasound lady gave us her phone number in case we decide to find out, she said we can call & she'll tell us. The doctor was also very thorough and looked through all the pictures with me - she said that the baby shows arched feet which means down syndrome is very unlikely and also the baby's lips are developing nicely and show no cleft - which means no cleft lip or palette:) In summary, the baby looks great!

UltraSound Photo!
Here's the glorious profile shot from our appointment. It was such a fun appointment - we can't believe how much the baby has changed since the 11 week ultrasound! Baby W is measuring right around 19 weeks and weighs 10 oz. - so our due date is sometime between Sept 20-23.

Week Eighteen
This week has gone by really fast! Things are continuing to go well for me and the baby. I'm really enjoying feeling him/her move around so much - it's such an exciting experience and makes me feel like we're bonding already. Our ultrasound is on Wednesday, so I'll post a new picture then:)
We got to have Luke's dad, Jerry (Butch) here this weekend. It was really nice to see him but unfortunately Luke was called into work all day on Saturday to do a random drug test & search for all of his soldiers...so he didn't get to spend as much time as he would've liked to with his dad. Good thing Butch was in the Army and understands that weekends are never a guarantee.
In other news, we have finally found a church that we are regularly attending - Bethel Baptist in Richmond Hill. This is spring revival week and they have an excellent guest pastor who is really preaching the word. It feels good to be part of a church again.
Check back on Wednesday for a new update on Baby Westman!

Week Seventeen
This week was pretty exciting since the baby has been moving so much. Luke even got to feel he/she kick a couple times - even once on his command! My belly is getting bigger by the day - each day the students and teachers at school remind how much bigger I am than the previous day:)
I worked out yesterday for the first time in awhile (just 30 minutes on the low-impact EFX machine) and woke up to a terrible leg cramp...I think I need to stretch better when I'm done! I'm feeling good most of the day although my morning quezziness has returned the last week or so.
We're really looking forward to the next doctor appt (4/29) because we have our ultra-sound. We're not planning to find out the sex of the baby, but it will be fun to see him/her moving around.

Week Sixteen
Well, I'm late posting about week 16 - but it was a crazy week for the Dobson family. Thank the Lord that He's watching out for my brother Danny - I just hope he realizes soon that he has God to thank for still being alive! Danny survived a battle with viral menengitis this past week & is recovering at home with Mom. So, instead of my mom coming to GA for a vacation, I flew home and we hung out together in the ICU in Duluth, MN. Hopefully she can get down here sometime in May for a visit:)
During week 16 I started to feel the baby moving around. It felt like he/she was doing flips in my tummy! Such a neat experience & exciting to think about that little baby growing in there. I've still been feeling good most of the time. I'm noticing that I'm getting light-headed more often and I read that is because of all the extra blood my body is producing. It's really a miracle how my body is changing to grow a little person inside. Luke and I are getting more excited each day to meet our little one.

Sandy's Visit
We had the pleasure of having Luke's mom, Sandy, come visit this weekend. It's been really fun to spend time together and enjoy the nice weather we've been having. I really lucked out because she took me shopping for some new maternity clothes!
We also went to church together for Easter Sunday - it was an an awesome service with great music and a really powerful message about the resurrection of Christ. It was good to be reminded of the true meaning of Easter Sunday. We are so thankful for the sacrifice our Lord made.

Here's a picture of my new Easter outfit:)

Week Fifteen
Things are continuing to go well this week - I'm feeling good. I've noticed that my belly doesn't seem too big in the morning but it feels huge by the end of the day. It's also started to feel a lot harder - so that makes me feel less chubby and more pregnant:)
As promised...here's a photo of the baby bump - sorry it's a little blurry:
Taken at the end of the day - it's definitely bigger than in the morning!
One-year Anniversary
We had the most perfect day to celebrate our first anniversary - it was about 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. We started off by sleeping in (we figure our days are numbered!) and then drove down to Brunswick and the Golden Isles. Our first stop was "Willie's Weenie Wagon" for lunch. This is basically a shack in the middle of Brunswick that makes the best hot dogs ever! So, I enjoyed the Brunswick dog (ketchup, mayo, onions, cheese, mustard) while Luke enjoyed the Bull dog (ketchup, mustard, cheese, pickles, onions, coleslaw) and a chili dog - and we split some fries and a sweet tea - yum, yum!

To end the day, we drove home and watched "Marley & Me" - it was a really fun and relaxing day. We are so blessed! We love married life!
Next, we drove to St. Simons Island - about 5 minutes from Brunswick. After stuffing our selves with hot dogs, we decided a walk on the beach would be a good idea. We found a cute little park to leave our vehicle and set off on a nice, relaxing walk along the Atlantic Ocean.

We saw three of these on our walk - jellyfish?
