Sunny weather & more dogs

We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather today and get outside and soak up some Vitamin D naturally! I couldn't believe how warm it was. Audrey wasn't a big fan of our walk to begin with, but after a few minutes of whining/crying she fell asleep and was fine for the rest of it. I'm insisting that she likes to be in her stroller because I really like to take walks in the summer...so she just has to like it too:) Before our walk, Audrey was able to go outside and play with the big dogs - she just loves them...all smiles and giggles. We will have to get some puppy playdates in this summer with some of our friends who have kid-friendly dogs too! I'm happy she likes them because I was deathly afraid of dogs until my teenage years, but I don't think I need to worry about that with Miss Audrey.

It appears that Audrey is a fan of dogs. She has really taken to watching Sandy's dog, Perci. Audrey also LOVES to watch the big dogs, Bailey and Brandy, through the glass doors too... can't wait for the warm weather so she can play outside with them!

Sippy Cup

Since Audrey has decided that she absolutely will not take a bottle, I've decided to move right to the sippy cup (thanks to Christa's idea). Audrey seems to really like to drink (or just chew & suck) from the cup - I've been signing the word "drink" to her and she gets a big smile and then attempts to drink from the cup, it's pretty cute. I can't get over how fast she's growing up already! It's a good thing Luke is gone for the year because I'm already starting to get baby fever:)

Thankful for Technology

I am so thankful that Luke and I are able to communicate so easily while we're apart. We email daily and are also able to Skype most days - for those of you who don't know what Skype is, it's a free online video chat program. It has been really fun to see Audrey develop from blankly staring at the screen to getting excited when the computer starts ringing and to smiling at her Daddy & telling him stories. We are so blessed!

Grand Afternoon

Audrey got to spend the afternoon with Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Butch while I got my hair cut & colored today. Lucky her! She went for a nice outdoor walk with Grandma and took a nap with Grandpa. She is one loved little girl & I am so fortunate to have help right up the stairs:)

Audrey has enjoyed the snow this winter but I think we're both ready for the warmer weather soon! The sunshine is definitely helping...c'mon spring! :)
