Getting to know Audrey Ann

In the past month or so Audrey's personality is really starting to show. While she's always been very expressive with her face, she's also becoming more verbal lately. It is so fun because I feel like I'm really getting to know her :)

I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but here's an update on her latest likes & dislikes:

Loves: measuring spoons, dogs, chewing on purses or shoes, pulling hair, starting to wave, talking - lots of la, la, la, blah, ba, ba, ga, da, playing her xylophone & drum, baths, clapping her hands or objects together, starting to feed herself, scooting around on the floor, looking in the mirror or out the window, playing peek-a-boo, giggling, singing, humming, kissing baby dolls and faces in books, and being close to mommy :)

Doesn't like: grass, wind, being strapped into things, getting dressed, chunky baby food, bottles.

She's looking SO grown up!

Traumatizing Tulips

My friend, Christa, has some beautiful red tulips growing on the side of her house...so I thought I could get some cute pictures of Audrey in a little patriotic outfit near them. It turned out to be a pretty sad photo shoot for Miss Audrey because she hates grass :(

New Toys

Audrey has quickly outgrown all the little baby toys that I had for her. So, I went on a little toy shopping spree earlier this week and got her some new big-girl toys :) However, before I had a chance to get them out...

Weekend Recap

Audrey and I had a fun weekend. On Saturday, Audrey was finally able to meet my cousin, Sarah. She had been off traveling the world for awhile and found her way back to MN - lucky for us! Audrey really enjoyed her company and we hope to see her again soon:)

Then on Sunday, my mom had us over for a yummy Sunday afternoon grill-out and a nice visit from my Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Joan. Audrey got quickly reacquainted with them & had lots of fun playing with toys and entertaining us:)

Grandma Shower

My mom's friends threw her a Grandma Shower this past weekend. This was actually her second Grandma Shower because her wonderful staff at work had one for her too. It works out great for Audrey because she now has lots of wonderful toys and books at Grandma Nancy's house. Lots of elephant toys from Grandma Nancy's friends...but that's a whole different story:)

Cowgirl

Sandy just got back from a ski trip to Colorado with some friends and while she was away she found a little something for Audrey...her own pink cowgirl boots! Before we know it Audrey will be out riding around with Grandma Sandy on her horse :)

Girls Night In

I know I already talked about how much Audrey likes swinging...but my friend, Krista Henkelman, came down to visit us Saturday evening and took some pictures of Audrey swinging that are just too cute not to post. We had a "Girls night in" at our place and had lots of fun - walk, park, dinner & a rented movie. (Side note: do NOT rent "What About the Morgans")

Obviously this isn't a swinging picture...just had to post it because she looks like she's ready for spring in her new outfit from Great-Aunt Carolyn :)
