The Big 3

Miss Audrey is officially 3 years old.
How is that even possible?

We celebrated her birthday with a pink Minnie Mouse cake per her request
(kuddos to Amy @ Decadent Desserts - YUM!)

How can I even put into words what this little girl means to us? The joy that she has brought into our lives is immeasurable. Audrey is so funny, smart, quirky, stubborn, and just plain loveable.

She loves painting nails

spinning in dresses to songs

smiling big for the camera

LOVES watching shows under her blanket

takes good care of her "Baby Audrey Katie"

likes playing mommy to everything

is such a good big sister

is so adorable and loveable even when she's sad/mad
I asked her a few interview-style questions and here's what she had to say:
How old are you? three
What makes you happy? a movie
What is your favorite animal? a jaguar
What is your favorite thing to eat? carrots and ranch
What is your least favorite thing to eat? bones
What is your favorite TV show? Doc McStuffins

My apologies; I promise I haven't fallen off the blogging train. Lots going on here lately: we just got our computer back from being repaired, Audrey turned 3 and had an awesome pink Minnie Mouse cake, Cece is 11 months old w/12 teeth and walking and now we are moving this weekend, wahoo:)
So, lots of new posts to come soon...I promise...as soon as I finish uploading & organizing pictures, packing, and then unpacking!

A new(ish) photo to get you by till the next post :)

First Haircut

Audrey's hair has finally been growing - yay! But the ends were starting to look a little extra wispy, so Luke finally agreed that she needed a haircut (she did have a "bang trim" at 10 months old but this is her official first haircut). We talked about it getting her haircut this morning and she was nervous that it would hurt, so I told her how fun it would be, she could wear a cape and sit in a tall chair but she wasn't convinced. So, I found a YouTube tutorial with a little girl getting her haircut & then she got excited! It went REALLY well, she sat so nice and loved it :)

Slightly nervous smile on our way there

Not too enthusiastic yet

This is how she looked almost the entire time; just stared at herself in the mirror w/a very serious expression.

Maybe she was concentrating on sitting so still?

She decided she wanted it curled (insert gasp here, she NEVER lets me do this at home!)

LOVING getting her hair cut and curled

checking herself out in the big mirror

The lovely Danielle, thank you!

Just a little bit happy and excited here

2 suckers for being such a good girl

checking herself out in the mirror and loving what she sees, she jumped up and down for a few minutes squealing with delight

We had to celebrate with chocolate ice cream and sprinkles

Audrey felt the need to end our evening by posing on the table outside DQ :)
